Day 14

Day 14 - September 17, 2010

Today is my day of rest and recovery. I am scheduled to do a double yoga on Saturday and Sunday, and since I did doubles the past two days it would be wise to give my body a break.

What I learned these past couple of days:

1) Self awareness of my body - I see changes to it more clearly now. I fuel the body properly rather than mechanicaly.
2) Bikram Glow - My skin is still glowing... pores are diminished... have not had a break out in a while.
3) Detox - there is a reason why your sweat is salty... simply it is toxins oozing out of our pores. Last night as I was relaxing in savasana and the sweat was dripping down my face a drop made it on my lips. It tasted like water. There was no salty taste... this is your body's way of letting you know that you have kept it clean.
4) Better sleep - I am a self pronounced insomniac ... most of the nights I cannot fall asleep until 3am. Lately, as soon as, I am back from my practice and packed for the day I am ready for sleep. I sleep restfully and deeply. In the morning my wake up is much better... I do not feel groggy... although I do feel thirsty...
5) Mental Shut down - I used to view the meditation part of my practice as a break. More often than not my mind used to race onto the million things I had to acomplish after class. The past few days I have been able to lay still and breathe.

Motivation for the week:

Take a long look at yourself... take inventory of all the things that are bothering you. Then take a look at the list ... what is within your control to change? If it is weight then the solution is simple... Do something about it! For the things you cannot control learn to let them go... Letting go of nervous energy will leave you feeling elevated... Think about it... We drown our minds with worries of things which may or may not happen! No wonder why we feel so tired... learn to clear your mind... learn to take control... after all if you do not take care of yourself who will?

Namaste

  1. Go girl! You are coming along nicely :) Of course, my vain side really only focused on the glowing skin part....Hahahaha!

Queen of Procrastination: So, I am doing good on keeping on track with getting shit done. I may not do it that second, but I have narrowed it down to a time period of that day. Which is amazing because it use to be that month to 2 month time period.

    Hugs ♥
